Stylish Blogger Award

Quite what Nina believes to be stylish about my blog, I've no idea. However the presentation of another award is very much appreciated. I guess I'm doing something right after all.

In order to accept this award, I have to:

So then, seven things about me:

 1) I'm mum to five children, aged from 15 to 6. This is why I'm often very distracted :)
 2) I am mortally allergic to peanuts and now avoid every nut. This makes Christmas food shopping an utter bind
 3) Most of my friends were gained through fandom. I will never forget standing on Blackpool Beach and writing "BAD WOLF" in the sand. Or the squeal my friend Cathy let out on seeing Davros at the Who Expo
 4) In 2009 I finally managed to meet Lani Tupu, ten years after promising to do so. He is the loveliest guy in the whole world.
 5) I still boast about being at the first music concert at the new Wembley Stadium. It was Muse and they ROCKED.
 6) Despite my sci fi upbringing and general cynicism, I'm a closet old-fashioned romantic and love watching Pride and Prejudice and Lark Rise to Candleford
 7) It amuses me when my MP3 played goes from 30 Second to Mars to the Glee soundtrack. Let's just say my musical taste is eclectic :D

I have received a blog award. I'm both grateful and rather befuddled, since I wasn't aware of doing anything award-worthy. Anyway, many thanks to One Writer's Mind for the award. I'm glad you read and enjoy my blog enough to pass this on.

I'm a sci fi geek. I crush on Bialar Caris (Farscape) and Ba'al (Stargate SG1). I'm still behind on NaNo *sigh*. I own a '71 VW Beetle called BeeBee. But I haven't passed my driving test. I have attended two sci fi conventions - one in London and one in LA. I play on Facebook more than I should do.

3. Pass the award on to 15 other bloggers
Ooh, this was tough. Some of the bloggers I've chosen are fellow writers and friends, but they're the ones that keep me going, that offer me good advice and a shoulder to cry on when things are difficult. I'm also giving to those bloggers whose professional advice I greatly appreciate. I'm reserving five award places for new discoveries.

Constellation Awards

The Constellation Awards are Canada's annual science fiction awards focused on rewarding excellence in science fiction film and television. Now in its fourth year, the awards celebrate and honour the actors, writers, and technical artists behind the best of today's science fiction film and TV works - with an added focus on Canadian contributions to science fiction film and television.

This year's nominations are covering such shows as Doctor Who, Torchwood and Stargate Universe amongst others, with British actors David Tennant (the Doctor) and Gareth David-Lloyd (Ianto, Torchwood) up for Best Male Performance in a 2009 Science Fiction Television Episode
