I am a 37 year old mum of five, happily married and living in Manchester, UK. I've been writing since I was a child, but it wasn't until 1999 I started sharing my fiction with other people - while I know some people frown on fanfiction, it was something that gave me a lot of confidence in my ability to write.

In 2007 I tried (and failed) NaNoWriMo, but not to be outdone, I immediately tried JanNoWriMo - and managed 50K. However I didn't finish the novel (in fact, it's sequestering on my hard drive after losing 90% in a laptop theft).

I write soft science fiction, because characters excite me more than technology (though technology does excite me an awful lot), with a dash of romance. And yes, I write sex scenes. It's all part of the human condition.

When I'm not writing, I'm often watching TV. As a sci fi geek, I love Stargate SG1 and Farscape, but I'm also a huge fan of Castle, Merlin and Primeval (new series! yay!)
